We are located on the corner of Whitworth Road and Princess Street at the site of the former Globe, with convenient access for all areas of Rochdale and the surrounding areas, including Whitworth, Bacup, Littleborough, Shawclough and Norden. We have a large car park for our clients at the back of the building. This means that you do not have to struggle with street parking and makes your visit to the surgery safer. We are more than happy to accommodate owners who prefer to wait in the car with their pet, if that makes them more settled. Just book in and we will let you know when we are ready. The reception area is large, well lit and we have a separate waiting areas for cats and rabbits as we know they can get stressed too.
We have a wide range of services available in the clinic. Veterinary and nurse consultations cover all aspect of preventative care including vaccinations and parasite control. We can do pet passports if you want to go travelling with your companion. In the event that your pet becomes ill, then if it is necessary bloods tests can be run in our laboratory, or we can take x-rays which are processed in our digital machine for immediate results. There is a large sterile theatre used to perform a variety of operations from neutering to orthopaedic procedures. All animals have teeth similar to our own and many develop dental disease. If this happens then we can do scale and polishing through to complex extractions and surgery.
Well Pet Club
Our Well Pet Club gives you a way to save money on the cost of veterinary consultations for your pet. After the payment of a very reasonable annual membership fee your pet will be entitled to free consultations for a whole year! This does not include medications, surgical fees, visit fees etc, but covers the charge made for the professional consultation with a veterinary surgeon or a veterinary nurse. The membership fee cost can even be spread through the year with our ‘Platinum Pet Health Care Plan’. Special deals are also available for multi-pet households – ask for more details!
Pet Health Care Plans
We have launched a range of Pet Health Care Plans for our clients. These are available for dogs, cats and rabbits. By joining a plan with your pet you can save on your pet’s preventative healthcare with the added benefit of being able to spread the cost through monthly direct debit payments. As a Pet Health Care client you will also be eligible for further discounts on other products and services within the practice such as 10% off the price of neutering or 50% off the price of a microchip. The ‘Platinum Care Plans’ also include cover for the cost of the veterinary or nurse consultation fees if your pet becomes ill.
Our Loyalty Card is proving very popular with our clients. Every time you spend ten pounds with us a point is added to your card. When your card is full you can claim ten pounds off selected products and services from the practice. Please speak to a member of staff for further information.
For a nominal fee our nurses can offer advice on pet care. We have a team of qualified and student nurses who can help you to do your best for your pet. Consultations include flea and worm control, feeding and weight clinics, microchipping, dental hygiene, grooming and nail clipping, diabetic clinics, and senior health checks.
Pet Collection and Home Visits
We have a practice van that is used by the nurses to collect pets and bring them to the surgery for veterinary treatment. We also try to accommodate home visits when requested by owners. These visits have to be scheduled around the appointments and operations at the surgery. We do our best to come out to your home when requested.

In order to offer this service we deliver at specified times but are happy to leave purchased food in a specified location by prior arrangement. Just ask at reception for more details.
