It’s still very early but as we all get ready for the Christmas festive period then we have to think about our furry friends too!
Getting the odd Xmas outfit is lots of fun for them?! But please remember other parts of Christmas can be more serious and dangerous for your pets. Mince pies, Christmas cake, Stollen and fruity puds all contain raisins and dry fruit. Although this is tasty to us humans, it can be toxic to animals. Make sure you keep these and especially chocolate somewhere safe as we still see lots of poisoning cases this time of year.
Small toys and presents can be chewed and swallowed, and cats and other smaller pets can like playing with Christmas trees, tinsel and decorations. As New Year approaches, there will be lots of fireworks being set off which can be especially stressful to some pets, so please be considerate to your and other pets and try to attend organised events.

We are nearing the end of the week before Christmas so now is a great time to wish you all a very Merry festive period and a Happy New Year! Just remember to wrap up warm and take good care of our furry friends this holiday!! We see lots of problems around Christmas ranging from dogs eating the advent calendar (Yes this happened! – Chocolate is a common poison in dogs!!) or even the Christmas cake. If you have any problems then we are open as follows:
Monday to Friday 8.00am to 8.00pm (except Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Years Day)
Saturday 9.00am to 1.00pm
Sunday 10.00am to 12.00pm (including Christmas Eve and New Years Eve)
